		<description>I disagree with your read on Carcetti.  There's no way he cares as deeply about "doing the right thing" as you believe.  Every move he made in the series was calculated to further his political career and his well-being, him him him.  You can see it when he wrote the letter of complaint about witness protection to the previous mayor, planning to use it as political fodder in his as-of-yet unplanned campaign.  You can see it on his advisor's face at the end of Season 4 when he sacrifices Charm City's education funding because he refuses to kneel down before the governor.  You can see it as he grows obsessed with stats.  Carcetti is a selfish political animal who desperately wants to believe that he isn't.</description>
